Shrikant S. Bapat is an engineer by profession, he has developed many professionals in the area of analytical instrumentation both for sales & service. He is the founder Directors of LabIndia which is been one of the most successful Distributor agency for Analytical Instruments in India. He has been a major contributor to the success of Indian Analytical Instruments Association (IAIA) & was its past president for 6 years from 2000 – 2006. During this time, IAIA has scaled to new heights in it’s activity & earned a very good name in the analytical industry. He is a philanthropist who has started a School & Junior college in Ratnagiri District.
Dr. G. Ramakrishnan received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Bombay University after which, he worked as Postdoctoral Research Associate at Florida State University and Brown University in the USA. After a brief period working in ICI Research Centre in Mumbai, he worked in Hinditron Services as a Product Manager for NMR and MS and later as Asst. Marketing Manager. He later moved to Saudi Arabia to head the Scientific & Medical Division of AM&S Kaki for a couple of years and later worked as a Scientist at Arab Security Studies and Training Centre in Riyadh. He then moved to Singapore to work as BDM for MS with Hewlett-Packard for AP region for several years. He moved back to India to head Life Sciences Division of Agilent Technologies and built up a strong organization for direct operation. He then joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as the Director of Scientific Instrument Division and built up a strong organization for direct operation and later became the MD. He retired from TFS as its Senior Director for SEA operations for Chromatography and MS.
Dr.Ramakrishnan was intensely involved with IAIA for several years and served as its VP for one term and President for one term. Dr. Ramakrishnan was one of the key members in establishing Chromatographic Society of India (CSI) in 2000 of which currently he is the President. Dr. Ramakrishnan is known for his innumerable number of talks in GCMS and LC MS in various seminars, symposia and workshops all over India.
S. Thyagarajan has a post graduate degree in Analytical Chemistry from University of Madras. After working with Toshniwal for nearly a decade he started Spinco in 1981. He had undergone training abroad in various analytical instrumentation techniques. Having widely travelled, he is responsible for the company’s growth over the last 30yrs.Mr Thyagarajan has represented Indian Analytical Instrument industry in various international forums in US, Japan and China. He is presently the President of Indian Chapter of International Society of Lyophilisation and Freeze drying ( ISLFD ) and was the past President of Chromatographic Society of India.
KV Venugopalan is an Electronics Engineer with MBA in Marketing and has 35 years of Industry experience of which 21 years as President and CEO of Waters (retired). A successful business leader with demonstrated ability to build high performance teams producing consistent results every year. Built teams, trained, developed and assisted powerful leaders who lead a purposeful and happy life with unbridled commitment towards roles and responsibilities including business, teams and family. Currently enjoying the retired life.
Dr. Ashes Ganguly, has completed his Post Graduation and Doctorate from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. He is the Managing Director of Cryogen Instruments India Pvt. Ltd., A leading supplier of Liquid Helium. Cryogen specializes in Magnetic Resonance (NMR) & Cryofilling. Dr. Ashes, is the Past President (2015-18) of Indian Analytical Instruments Association (IAIA) and he has served as the National Committee Member of the Instruments Division of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). He has represented IAIA in different International Conferences in USA, UK, Germany, Japan etc.
Gautam Rajan is Managing Director of Marsap Services Pvt. Ltd, specializing in instruments for the Life Science Research and Oil & Gas Industry. He is also a Director of Anamed Instruments Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of Electronic Precision Balances and other instruments. Gautam has a Master’s Degree in Physics from University of Mumbai and a MBA in Marketing and Management from Virginia Tech.
